Boracay Beach Run: Skyathon 2014

I’ve only ran 3K a looooong long time ago, and I thought I was gonna die. I constantly mumbled, oh my guts, my lungs, my guts are gonna pop out, I can’t breathe..

But now it’s a whole new different me. I want to run. I want to run more. I jumped to 10K right away. My first 10K run.

The mind only limits what the body can do.

Anyway, this was a bit different. We ran along the beach instead of a straight flat pavement. So yes, the sand was uneven and there was a bit of difficulty running. At first I was afraid that the salt water might ruin my shoes (because I freakin love these shoes so much) but while running, I didn’t mind anymore because running makes me worry less.

I was already up at 4 in the morning. It was still dark and I thought we were already late! But people were still stretching, and the stage was still being set up.. Talk about excited!

After running from station to station to station, I somehow missed the receiving station and went on running further which was no longer part of the route. I guess I just had too much energy to run some more! So I kinda had to run back and finish the loop. Medal, goodie bag, sun burn, fasted morning cardio, and a sweaty jersey.. It was a great first 10K run! Saving Boracay beach, one run at a time! All I can think of was FOOD after that!

So, where’s the next run?
